IF YOU’RE NEW TO MEDIA, MARKETING & ADVERTISING, EMERGE IS FOR YOU.
For getting on for 100 years now, the BPA has been bringing together professionals working in media, marketing and advertising across Birmingham and the wider Midlands. Connecting people in these industries through social events, community building and charity support.
While the BPA has decades of history, BPA Emerge has been recently launched as a fresh arm of the organisation aimed specifically at emerging and early-career professionals in the media, marketing and advertising industries in the Midlands.
What Emerge Is
Emerge is centred around growing a community of nascent professionals, helping them connect with peers and industry contacts over informal meetups and networking.
The first Emerge meetup, sponsored by Mobsta, brought together people from the local media, marketing and advertising scene for networking and conversation, with its organisers and early supporters encouraging wider involvement.
A newsletter and future events are also planned for early 2026 as part of the initiative’s official launch.
What It Aims To Do
Although specific programmes and structure may evolve, the core purpose of BPA Emerge is to:
Support people new to the industry — especially those just starting or in the first few years of their careers.
Build a peer community of professionals in media, marketing and advertising.
Provide networking and social opportunities that help participants make connections, learn more about the industry, and engage with local companies.
In short, it’s where newer professionals in these sectors can start building relationships, sharing knowledge and finding support as they grow their careers — under the broader umbrella of the BPA community.
